Privacy notice

Information the application handles

• Google authorization information: OAuth credentials used to obtain and renew authorized access. The application does not need the owner's Google password; sign-in and consent occur through Google.
• Authorized device information: camera identifiers, names and capabilities returned by Google's Device Access service.
• Camera media: video and, where provided, audio from authorized streams, together with recording timestamps and operational records.
• Imported archives: historical footage and associated metadata that the owner separately obtains through Google Takeout or existing archives.

Why the information is used

The recording and import workflows use this information to obtain authorized footage, keep an owner-managed archive, validate and organize files, support private playback, and distinguish available recordings from gaps or failures.

Local transcription and search are separate development workflows, not services offered by this public website. Where enabled with the owner's approval, they may create transcripts and search indexes that also need to be treated as private household data.

This website does not perform transcription, biometric identification or model training, and it does not send household media to an external AI provider. Any additional processing or sharing requires a separate review of its data use and an updated notice where applicable.

Storage and access

Camera recordings and imported archives are stored on owner-managed equipment, separately from the public website. OAuth credentials are kept in restricted local credential files rather than in the website content or source repository.

These pages contain no camera viewer, private dashboard, upload form or credential-entry form. The static website does not make the local archive available to visitors.

This notice does not claim that every local file or backup is encrypted, that data loss is impossible, or that recording is uninterrupted.

Services involved and sharing

Google provides authorization, Nest device access and camera services. Google Takeout is used separately for exports requested by the owner. Those services have their own data-handling practices; see Google's Privacy Policy.

This informational website uses Google Firebase Hosting. The hosting provider may process normal web-request information, such as IP addresses, browser information and request times. The pages include no analytics code, advertising code, cookie-setting code, embedded media or third-party fonts.

The public website receives no household recordings, archives, transcripts or authorization credentials. Those records remain separate from its deployment.

Retention, disconnection and deletion

Local recordings, imported archives and any derived records remain in owner-managed storage according to the owner's retention decisions and available capacity. No fixed automatic deletion period is promised here.

The owner can stop the recorder and revoke Google's authorization. Revocation is not a deletion request for footage already archived locally, and existing stream sessions may not end immediately. Local recordings, copies, backups and derived records must be handled separately.

Google's cloud-history and export-retention rules are independent of local storage. This website does not extend them or guarantee recovery of expired footage.

Changes to this notice

The notice must be reviewed when the application's data use, storage, sharing or enabled processing changes. An updated notice will identify its effective date.
