Smart Video is a personal-use tool for archiving video from authorized Google Nest cameras and reviewing recordings stored on the owner's equipment.
What the application does
The recording workflow uses Google's Device Access service to access cameras the account owner authorizes. It stores captured footage locally and tracks recording times and operational status. A separate import workflow supports historical camera archives obtained through Google Takeout.
Access remains subject to Google's permissions, device capabilities and available history. Archiving cannot recover footage that is no longer available, and recordings can have gaps.
What this website is
This is an informational website for the application, not a camera viewer. It does not provide public camera streams, recordings, household search, account registration or a Google sign-in flow.
The recorder and its private data are separate from these static pages. See the privacy notice for the data-handling description.
